Obituary of Rex Pearl Veinot

of Rex Pearl Veinot 83, Simpsons Corner, Lunenburg County, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008 at home. Born in Simpsons Corner, he was a son of the late Clayton and Elvida (Woodworth) Veinot. Rex was a veteran of the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 102, New Germany. Rex served as a trustee for the Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his friend, Vella Ramey, Simpsons Corner; daughter, Jeannie, Ontario; sons, Michael Veinot, Bridgewater; Scott Veinot, Cookville; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Carey, Cora, Ola, Hope in infancy; brothers, Howard, Frank, Robert. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Public graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner. Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating.
