To Sheila's Family
Our sincere condolences are offered to you. For many years Sheila was a dedicated volunteer at our museum,and successfully handled the Treasurer and Curator positions.She continually initiated and completed projects which improved the museum operations and visibility. It was a great loss to us when she had to stop volunteering as a result of her illness.

Jennifer, Tom, and families: I first met your beloved mother at Acadia. She was part of the cadre who formed and remained friends throughout time, who, after not having contact for a few years, meet up and resume where they left off. She was full of fun and lived life to its fullest. My sincerest condolences on your loss. You will have lots of fond memories to help you get through these difficult times.

Jennifer and Tom, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I didn't know that your Dad had already passed away, so my condolences on the loss of both of your parents. I met your Mom at the beginning of grade 7 when her family moved to Dartmouth from Canso. We discovered we lived in adjacent apartment buildings and became great friends through school. I have many fond memories of the adventures we had together.

Although I did not know Sheila personally I have heard a lot of wonderful things about her from Jennifer. I know I would have liked her immediately had we met. My deepest condolences to Jennifer, Brian, Ashley, Kevin and all of the other family members.

To Sheila's Family,
I knew your mother and your father in the days when your mother was president of the South Shore Genealogical Society. She was such a happy person and full of laughter and joy every time I saw her. She even spoke to me about having polio a a child.
I am sure you have many happy memories to help you in these sad days of missing her. Mothers and fathers are never forgotten.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Rafuse

I recognisd her smile immediately. Sheila and I were friends at Iona Presbyterian church, Dartmouth in our younger days. My wedding was the first wedding in the new structure, in fact the first service of any kind.. When I tell this story I always mention seeing Sheila in the kitchen pulling off the reception with no running water and minimal supplies and always smiling..Her memory will be with me always. God Bless and Peace be with all her family and friends

Dear Family;
Sheila was a wonderful person with a great smile & a positive outlook. I worked with her (and Neil), in my role in the NS Museum as museum advisor, and was constantly amazed at how they took that lovely museum into the future. Nothing stopped her (or him!). My sincere condolences.
