Obituary of Clayton Harry Lohnes
Lohnes, Clayton Harry - of Middle Cornwall passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2020 at the age of 65. He is the son of the late Gordan and Doris Lohnes, Upper Northfield.
Clayton worked as a carpenter most of his life. He loved oxen, farming, blacksmithing and had a passion for cooking and baking. He lived a simple life, believing in hard work and making things from scratch. He was well known for his pig roasts using a rotisserie barbeque he made himself and hosted weddings, charity events and his annual barn dance. Those events were loved and enjoyed by so many.
After he retired, he lived his life the best that he could. We have so much love for our dad and we hope he is at peace now.
Clayton is survived by his sister, Carolyn and his four children, Crystal (Kevin), Candy (Jamie), Colan (Karen) and Carmen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ben and Jenna; step grandchildren, Christie & Tyler as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents and infant brother, Carmen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 21st, at Hillside Cemetery in Upper Northfield. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield, South Shore Mental Health or charity of choice.
