I had the pleasure of living across the street from the Oickle family for many years as a child. I played with most of the kids and even "worked" on the farm one summer. Many happy and fun memories. Mrs. Oickle was always tolerant and good to us kids as we got up to all manner of shenanigans. My condolences to all the family, and especially Laurie.

My deepest condolences in the loss of the matriarch of your family.
She was a wonderful lady always with that wonderful smile of hers. It has been quite a few years since I have had the pleasure of talking to her but she always made me feel just as important as the next person.
Remember all the great times you all had together with her and she will always be a huge part of your lives. Those memories will carry you all through this terrible time and help you get through those bad days.
Losing a parent is never easy but know that she had a wonderful and full life.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. I have such good memories of Elizabeth starting from when she worked with my parents in the Kiddie Korner and on to her continued friendship with my Mom in her retirement. Elizabeth had infinite patience with a young girl whose presence in the store, perhaps, wasn't always appreciated. She was a good friend and mentor and I will treasure those memories. Ken, Shirley, Susan, Laurie, & families,
We were saddened to hear when your Mom passed on. It is never easy losing someone we love so very much.
You all have to share in the joy that you had her in your lives for such a long time. We all wish that they could stay with us forever, but as we are all reminded this day; it is not to be.
Your Mom will live on in each & everyone of you, as 'you' are all her Legacy. Keep her memory alive. Live the rest of your lives as she lived hers.....with much love, passion, laughter, caring and friendship..... She was a wonderful example to us all.
" Our hero....You held my hand, when I was small. You caught me when I fell. You're the hero of my childhood, and my later years also. Everytime I think of you, my heart fills with pride. Although I will always miss you Mom, I know you are by my side. In laughter and in sorrow, sunshine and through rain. I know you are watching over me. Until we meet again....."

With much love and deep sympathy,
Judy & Brian McCarthy. Hugs.

I was so sorry to hear of Elizabeth's passing . She was always so kind and friendly to all that knew her. I can remember when Ken and I were kids and playing outside the apartment building on Empire street and she would bring us both out a bottle of Coke which was the only thing Ken would drink so of course that is what I wanted also and she was always asking what we were doing and then gave us that big smile which translated into be good and don't do anything stupid and we always tried to listen but "boys will be boys" .I have very fond memories of her great wonderful glowing smile and her kindness towards people she knew over the years was always there whenever she met you in future years as we all aged and became adults with families of our own . I send my sincere sympathy to all the family and hope you hold dear all the wonderful memories you have of the truly remarkable person that Elizabeth was .
