Obituary of Marjorie May Walters

WALTERS, Marjorie May (Ritcey) - It is with deepest sadness, that we the family of Marjorie May Walters, 81 of Pinehurst, announce her peaceful passing and journey home, on May 25, 2020 at home. Born in Baker Settlement on January 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Amos and Eudie Greta (Wentzell) Ritcey.  In her younger years she devoted her time to raising her family and assisting her husband with the day to day operations of Lew's TV business.  She also enjoyed going to church and singing in the church choir. 

 

She is predeceased by her husband, Llewellyn, and is survived by sons, David (Carol), Lower Branch; Dwight (Edie), Glenevis, AB; Rex (Ann Marie), Pinehurst;  grandchildren, Ian, Kentville; Cassandra (Brendon), Edmonton, Ab.; Anthony (Jennifer), Bridgewater; Kimberly (Brandon), Cherryfield; great grandsons, Kohl, Lennox, and Hudson; step grandchildren, Troy, Cherie, Jared, Bryce and Sydney, all of Alberta; and brother, Mervyn, Baker Settlement. Extended family, Darlene Rafuse, Middleton; Shirley Wilkie, Rhodes Corner; Brittany and Brandon Jenkins, Lower Branch; several nieces and nephews. 

 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held in Baker Settlement Cemetery, Baker Settlement, Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to South Shore Hospice Palliative Care. Special thanks to Drumlin Hills and Earth Angels for the excellent care she received while in residence, and Noeleen Reilly, RN, Dr. Debra Gowen and the VON nurses, especially Tina Feener, for helping her through her final days.
