Obituary of Georgina Faye Wamback

Wamback, Georgina Faye- age 84 of Chester Basin, formerly of Bridgewater and Mount Pleasant. It is with great sadness that the family of Georgina Faye Wamback announce her passing on June 6, 2020 in Heart to Heart Nursing Home, Chester Basin. God has granted our mom her final wish; to be with her beloved husband. Georgina was a daughter of the late Elijah and Alice Hirtle.

Georgina enjoyed her nursing career in Bridgewater while raising her family. After her retirement, she was actively involved with the food bank and the Red Cross. She was loved by many who knew her. She could be found doing word search puzzles, knitting, or reading. Her passion was her love for cats.

Georgina is survived by one brother, George (Adrian) Hirtle; sister, Arlene (Jimmy) Hirtle; daughters, Linda (Michael ) Woodsworth, Conquerall Bank; Doreen (Tommy) Anderson, Italy Cross; son, Curtis (Shelly) Wamback, Dublin Shore; daughter in-law, Janice Wamback; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Georgina was predeceased by husband, Everett Wamback Jr. and son, Wade Wamback.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in Georgina’s memory may be made to the inter-church food bank, Bridgewater, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
