Mr. Conrad and our daughter Ava have been exchanging Christmas cards the last few years. It was a kind and simple gesture between neighbours and something, we believe, they both looked forward to and enjoyed. Mr. Conrad was a very kind, dear man and he will be missed. Our sincere condolences to the Conrad family. May your memories give you peace and comfort.

Mr. Conrad started at L.R.V.S. that same time as my Dad did..1969. I attended Vocational School form 1975 to 1977 and at the time I would always see him and we would stop to chat for a bit. Years later I would run into Harold at a grocery store where I would jog his memory as to who I was and my Dad too. He was always a kind man who had time for anyone for a little chat. Sorry for your loss Mr. Conrad was a very nice fellow.

Judi,Connie, Reg, Mike, Jeff and Chris and your respective families,
Please accept Diana and my deepest sympathy at your loss.
I (Dan) have many memories of Uncle Herald especially from the days where our families grew up across the street from each other in Kingston and the days of the camp at trout Lake where we young ones sometimes had him pulling his hair at our on and in the water hi jinks!.
The last time I talked with uncle Herald we figured out that we had could possibly passed each other on the highway as I was driving my new car home from a dealership in Sydney and he was delivering a car from the mainland to that same dealership! Take care and know that we are thinking of you.
ps A donation in Uncle Herald's name has been made to the Baddeck Fire Department.

Our condolences to all the family. Wendy and I had the blessing of knowing and learning from Harold and Pat. Harold was Chief when I joined the Hebbville Fiire department and through his leadership our dept gained respect and recognision. He had vision and looked to improve not only our dept but the overall fire service. He spent countless hours serving the community and others. I especially remember Pat and Harold preparing and organizing community suppers at the hall. Harold was a very well spoken and educated man and I enjoyed listening to him. Although he is not with us now, we shall always have good memories. Jerry & Wendy Read

I worked with Harold for 15 years at LRVS and and we travelled to many fire service meetings throughout the Maritimes.
