90, Of Barss Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Scarsdale, he was a son of the late Adam LeRoy and Ella Margaret (Mossman) Webber. LeRoy owned and operated Barss Corner Esso Service station for 25 years and continued after retirement as the local small engine repairman. He was a member of Barss Corner United Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Betty (David) Drew, Springfield; son, Robert “Bob” (Wendy), Halifax; sisters, Zella Burns, Cookville; Thelma Peirce, Halifax; E. Marie Snyder, New Germany; Gertrude Veinot, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Adam Webber, Amanda Kenny, Michelle Rafuse, Kim Smith, Greg Rafuse, Valerie Corkum, Lisa Rafuse-Publicover, Scott Rafuse; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Logan, Colton, Cody, Ashton, Brandon, Brett, Nicole; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife the former Laura Elvira Spidle; daughter, Carolyn Perry; sisters, Thurza London, Frances Hubley; brother, Franklyn Webber. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Barss Corner United Baptist Church, Barss Corner. Rev. Jennifer Joudrey officiating. Private family interment in Barss Corner Community Cemetery.
