Obituary of Kathleen Pauline McCarthy

McCarthy, Kathleen Pauline -Age 88 of Bridgewater, passed away October 1, 2020 in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born January 19, 1932 in Harmony Mills, she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Vera (Anthony) Weagle.

Kathleen is survived by daughters, Kim (David) Skinner, Mahone Bay; Trudy (Michael) Rafuse, Camperdown; Crystal (Mike) McCarthy, Bridgewater; Angela (Konstantine) Sabean, Bridgewater; Melissa (James) Lohnes, Bridgewater; Trena McCarthy, Bridgewater; sons, MacGregor McCarthy, Barss Corner; Mitchell McCarthy, Pinehurst; Bliss McCarthy, Bridgewater; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Robert Earl Jr. McCarthy. 

Kathleen was employed as a noon time supervisor at Bridgewater Elementary school for six years, a job she very much enjoyed. She enjoyed knitting, birdwatching, reading and puzzles. In her later years, she was fond of playing Chinese checkers.

A private family graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 4 in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating.
