Obituary of Linda Wedman

of Sr. Linda Wedman 61, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 19, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Stebner) Wedman. Linda grew up on a farm in Edmonton with three brothers and eight sisters. She attended the University of Victoria and later moved to the Deaconess Community in Philadelphia where she attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary. She worked as Deaconess for approximately 30 years, serving in a variety of settings across Canada. She truly loved Nova Scotia and enjoyed her time spent serving as Parish worker and in Youth Christian Education in both Lunenburg and Bridgewater. Sr. Linda will be remembered as a fun loving, strong spirited woman, who was an inspiration to many. She loved travel, music, theatre, social gatherings and thoroughly enjoyed spending hours playing board games. She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
