Obituary of Phyllis Amelia Wentzell

WENTZELL, Phyllis Amelia – Age 100, of Parkdale, Lunenburg Co,. passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing. Born in Upper Cornwall, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert and Gertrude (Veinot) Veinotte.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol (Rodger) Penney, Barss Corner; Ferne Fancy, Parkdale; son, Vernon (Linda) Wentzell, Mader’s Cove; sister, Lola Zinck, New Germany; grandchildren, Darren (Ramona) Penney, Danny (Denise) Penney, Joel Wentzell, Devin (Shawna) Fancy; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Robin Penney, Sadie and Ben Fancy; son-in-law, Jerome Fancy, Parkdale; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Earle LeRoy; a brother in infancy; sisters, Daisy Gray, Evelyn Whynot; brothers, Percy, Claude, Perry and Billy. No visitation at the funeral home by request.

Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2021 in Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood, Parkdale with Rev. Sam Jess officiating. Interment will be in Parkdale – Maplewood Community Cemetery, Parkdale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rosedale Home for Special Care or Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood. Special thanks to the staff of Rosedale Home for the wonderful care they gave our mother since her arrival in March of 2020.
