I sailed with him on the VOYAGER II only for a short period but his kindness towards me as a rookie deckhand made him stand out in my memories of the time. RIP Chief. We have the watch, Sir.

Leona - Muriel and I want to extend our condolences and say we are so sorry for your loss of Bob to both you and your entire family. Bob will certainly be missed by everyone that had come to know him. He had a love of life that was second to none and always saw humor in everything no matter what he did. I met him as a first year 'Youngie' at MMA and we became close friends having fun and getting in trouble along with Bakes and Jimma Joint, the Quincy connection. But he was friends with everyone at the academy and for people that first met him, he made them feel as if they had been friends for life. I mean really, how could you not like him as his personality was bigger than he was. When we would find out that the Lorman clan was coming down to the states the word would go out so we could all get together to see you all. He would pack everyone into that bronze colored Chevy van, no seat belts but with installed fish nets for safety, and arrive with a smile.
Every story you ever heard about Bob was true no matter how outrageous you thought they were including some of my favorites. Like when Bob, Leona and family came for a visit only to have his Irish setter give birth to a litter of pups in the living room, shooting off fireworks out of the backseat of a 54 Olds and burning his arm only to have him say 'no problem', buying fireworks when on cruise and then taking a smoke break in the woods only to find out the next day that the woods had caught fire, being the first to own a prototype motorcycle and riding it totally out of control, just showing up at the house and staying for a week and not to forget, his design for the 'envelope house', And Leona, thru it all you would smile and say that was Bob. You both raised a beautiful family and we love you all.

HI Leona ~ Im so sorry we all lost touch ages ago . I'm sad to hear this news of Bobs passing . I was thinking of him and you both a week ago . I have always had fond memories of you both when I was but a very young lad . Perhaps his spirit passed by me recently as I had warm thoughts about your family coming to visit us on chebucto head . The old glory days of youth huh ? No fun getting old. My Dad said you were still living in hebville and I was shocked to here that you were so close by . I thought you had moved to Boston . I often thought about why we didn't all stay in touch and I missed you guys :)
I would like to be able to see you again sometime Leona and catch up on many years of passed time . I have to go to bridgewater sometime soon to pick up a firplace , maybe I could stop by ?
Mom passed away four years ago but Dad is still doing great ! He is helping a lot with my new house build in Brookside . When we are done and if you feel like it Id love to have you out to our new house .
I'm thinking good thoughts about you both and hope you are managing ok . If theres anything I can do to help out at your place then don't hesitate to let me know . I have a really good construction company going .
Take care Leona and hope to hear from you soon
