Sandra Frank was a dear friend and pen-pal to me. I can still hear her laugh. I enjoyed visiting her when I was visiting home, she made each visit special. We loved to talk about music as I played the flute and she the piano. Sandra was the grandmother I never really had. This past March, I gave my daughter Islay Sandra’s middle name “Mae” in tribute to how lovely she really was! I think of you most often Sandra, and now you’re a part of our family forever ❤️

My heart is broken over the loss of this wonderful lady. I have such fond memories of our visits and talks. Her peaceful life and calm mannerism was so comforting,in a world that can be filled with such chaos. I always looked forward to our yearly Christmas cards we exchanged, with her special handwritten notes. I will miss her dearly

As Seen Through My Eyes ...
My MOM ... Sandra Mae Frank
She was a homemaker in the true sense of the word. Every room in the house had her beautiful creative touches. She papered - painted - crafted with imaginative flair. Window coverings were hand made with floral touches as much as she could envision. One particular kitchen Paint Up Project ... was multicolored like a pastel rainbow.
The exterior of the house she lived in for over 60 years itself was also a labor of love. She could be found painting one side at a time, per year. Climbing up on homemade scaffolds to get to the very top. Painting most often with her visionary talent of color scenarios throughout the years. In later years she gave in and delegated the job off and hired a painter. But just to be sure that her giftedness was part of the mix the deal also involved plenty of "the gift of gab" and many homemade lemon pies.
As one of her children being involved in extracurricular activities she could be found burning the midnight oil making homemade costumes for an upcoming spectacular activity event. One comes to mind in particular. That was my figure skating outfit one year described as "like a daisy". She hand made this for me and it was named at the event as the # 1 costume. I know she felt proud.
Her love of the land brought about intense work loads that never let up no matter what the season or year. But it was also so like mom to take time to breath in with intuitiveness the wonders of nature. Marveling at shrubs - florals - leaves, especially when appearing out of nowhere.
She kept the home warm during the nor'easter (s) and massive east coast winter snow loads. She managed weathering the family through all the rumble and tumble of years of hurricane and tornado seasons. Making sure all stayed out of our enriched 4 walls inside.
Her budgeting was remarkable. We always had hot meals, soups and home baked sweets. Although we were not for many years financially in abundance, we were never hungry.
She endured the world of a war wife at home, especially as dad was one who was really changed by his war years.
She was an optimistic home nurse and care provider to her husband Arthur - to a fault. Many added enriched years were had for them both because of her courage and strength to endure through all.
She was a Caring Person
She was a Loving Sole
She was a Communicator
She embraced Empathy
She paid close Attention to Detail
She was a Problem Solver
She had immense Humanity Respect
She was Self Aware
She had a desire for Increased Learning
She is now with the Lord - back home with a brand new creative palette in her hand, awaiting the next design request to come her way.

So very sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have such pleasant memories of her, over many years. Always a warm and welcoming smile and time to stop for a chat when we’d bump into each other out and about. Her home and yard immaculately kept. I always glanced in as I passed by to see if she was outside, if everything seemed okay. I noticed her car wasn’t there recently and I was worried, but thought maybe she’d gone somewhere on a little vacation. I am so sad today. My heart goes out to all of you, especially you Carla, my friend for such a long time. Your Mom was an amazing, strong, beautiful woman and I will never forget her.

We were truely saddened to hear of Sandra's passing. Eldon will always remember the Saturday morning trips to Bridgewater with Earl when they would drop in at Sandra's, and the wonderful cookies that always awaited with a cup of tea. And I will miss the lovely cards that would arrive in the mail every now and then bearing hand-written messages about Santa and other such things important in life. They always made the day much brighter with their home-spun wisdom. A donation wil be made to South Shore Regional in Sandra's memory.

Dear Doug, Karen and Carla,
I was shocked and saddened to see of dear Sandra's passing in the obits today. I considered her a good friend ever since I met her through visitations with Bridgewater United Church. Heaven has gained an angel with her passing. We had many a natter together on the phone and in person prior to this Covid situation. I was always impressed with her sheer determination to "carry on" with such a positive attitude no matter what obstacle was swirling around her. She faced many a challenge during her lifetime and NEVER did I hear her complain or express a "woe is me" thought. She quietly lived out her days grateful for all God's blessings. May she rest in peace now that her journey is done. I will never forget you Sandra nor that delicious homemade white bread that you faithfully brought each and every Christmas. My kids looked forward to "Mrs. Frank's bread" on the table for Christmas morning. I will be thinking of you all on Thursday as you say your final earthly good-byes.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of dear Mrs. Frank. She was a warm and caring lady, whom I enjoyed keeping in touch wish from my childhood into adulthood. I always looked forward to her cards and personal notes at Christmastime and loved sending her photos and cards and keeping her up to date on my family each year. Her warm smile and laughs were infectious and I will remember them fondly. My thoughts are with your family at this difficult time.

Sincere sympathy on the passing of your Mom. My Mom, Lois Veinot, loved Sandra. Many happy visits together when they laughed and cooked together. We children were only allowed to call her Mrs.Art Frank, our mother's rules. As children we played together, Doug, Carla and Karen. Mom waited for a Christmas card every year without fail because it always had a little note inside. She was a lovely cheerful woman and I am sure you will miss her everyday.

Condolences to the family of Sandra Frank.I first met Sandra through my late wife Marjorie.She was such a joy.Always a hearty laugh.We had such nice visits especially at Christmas.We never made it last Christmas because of covid-19 but we did talk by phone.She will be greatly missed.Bruce,Jean &Kayla.
