Obituary of Robert M. Blackadar

Robert Martin "Bobby" Blackadar 64, New Canada, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at home with his family at his side. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of Viola (Bolivar) Blackadar, New Canada and the late Raymond Blackadar. He was a retired member of local 625 I.B.E.W. He enjoyed farming, working in the woods and loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. Surviving are his wife, Darlene (Kirkpatrick) Blackadar; daughter, Kelly Allen, New Canada; son, Neil (Stacey), Pine Grove; grandchildren, Alysha, Jason and Jenna; brothers, Anzil, New Canada; Harry (Diane), New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Donna Blackadar and favorite aunt, Vera Joudrey; several nieces and nephews. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Celebration of Bobby's life will be 2 p.m., Sunday, in Branch LaHave Community Hall, Branch LaHave. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Palliative Care unit of Health Services of the South Shore, VON Lunenburg Co. or charity of choice.
