So very sorry to learn of Les's passing. I had the distinct pleasure of working with and for Les at RCMP Bedford Detachment and hold many great memories of that time. May you rest in peace, my friend, and to the family...may your memories of precious moments bring you comfort as you heal this loss. ❤️ Deb Anthony

Linda, the obituary captures my memory of Les so well. I remember his mischievous grin, his sharing of his wisdoms, one on one conversations and of course a green one or two. The gang that gathered each fall at Stumpy made many cherished memories for a lifetime of amusement. Please accept our condolences and feelings of sadness and sympathy. We are in Jamaica for the winter and unable to extend our thoughts in person. Sandra and Peter Mader

The Coyle Family, I was saddened to read of Les's passing. I'v known Les since the 60's in Truro S/Div RCMP and over the years through his bar business. Les was a friendly outgoing guy and always had a few minutes to come over, sit down and have a chat. Most of my memories of Les are through Jim Harvey and the years of boating at Oak Island. Usually if ya saw Jim he was either with Coyle or on his way to meet him, probably at the Legion. Les, you will be missed by all who knew you.God Bless ya Man maybe will see ya on the other side, RIP Les.

Dear mourning Coyle Family..
My deepest condolences to Lynda, Lesley, Anne and Helen and your families on the loss of your loving and caring husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Les was my One and Only brother-in-law (2019-2022) , and even dough we never met in person , through many telephone conversation during the past 3 years we got to know and love each other. My wife Helen spoke about him, about their childhood in Saint John and adult lives (when Les was a brave RCMP officer in NS.) and about his family (whom unfortunately never met either, but hopefully one day in the future)
I learned from Helen that Les acquired many useful carpentry treats from his father and that kept him (and likely the two grandsons) busy during his retirement years. I was hoping since 2017 that one day we might share a fishing venture on the high seas, but God had other plans for Les.
Rest in Heavenly peace my dear brother-in-law.. I will catch up with you at a future date.

To the family,
So sorry to hear about Les. He was indeed the personification of "easygoing". Combine this with his quiet determination, keen sense of humor and you get a remarkable individual. His recommendation to discuss problems "over a beer " is advice that is topped only by his urging to enjoy every moment. We should all pause and reflect on that - life slips by way too quickly.
Glad to have known you, Les.
Cheers, my friend.

Linda, Leslie, Anne and family,
Pat and I would like to pass on our sincere condolences on your loss. Les was a great and true friend to many and will be missed. Many of us remember that Les was a friend to those in need. I can't recall how many fund raisers he organized for those less fortunate in Sackville/Beaverbank communities through his business. It's easy to remember his smile, friendship and sense of humour. Above those qualities I will remember his sense of community, caring and compassion for all. May he rest in peace.

I was sorry to read that Lester died. We went to high school together in Saint John, graduating in 1960. After that he joined up with RCMP. I never saw him again, but learned he was working in N.S. I remember him exactly as he's portrayed in his obituary ... easy-going, friendly, helpful, a solid guy ... one of the best!

Linda and family, words are hard to find to express our sadness. My first meeting with Les was at a cottage on Sherbrooke Lake and he made a lasting impression on me, "lets have a green tea and discuss it" will always bring a warm feeling to me and a smile on my face. We met many times later at the hunting camp ,he always cooked breakfast (bacon and eggs ,bacon well done) ,we kept the camp clean and warm ,either of us concered about shooting a deer , we discussed local and world problems, financial issues , politics , he was a real treat to discuss anything and we did just that. Our hearts are sad today ,we have lost a true friend. Dwight & Barbara Grimm

Regrettably, I don't think I ever met Les, although I have had the intention. I am pretty sure he was a troopmate of Wayne Daye, with whom I served and became close friends in Alberta. Wayne always spoke fondly of Les and he intended to travel to NS for a troop reunion that, I think, never happened. Sadly, Wayne has also passed on. My sincere condolences to the Coyle family.

Linda and family, please know you are in our thoughts during these painful and sad times. Les brought a level of class to all who knew him that few people that I know could duplicate , his famous line "Lets have a green tea and discuss it' will always make me smile and remember how fortunate I was to have known him as friend . He always made breakfast at the hunting camp where shooting a deer was the last thing on his mind, we spent hours discussing local and world events ,financial markets and politics , these times i will cherish forever We have indeed lost a truly great individual.
