Obituary of Ruth Ann Bolivar

Ruth Ann (MacKay) Bolivar December 25, 1910 – April 8, 2009, Wetaskewin, Alb., formerly of New Germany. With a heart full of treasured memories, we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother. After a very full and interesting life that saw many of the radical changes of the 20th century, Ruth passed away peacefully on April 8 at the age of 98. She will be lovingly remembered by her six sons, Paul (Lidia), Enfield; Lawrence (Judy), Bedford; David (Christine), Greenfield; Jon (Georgina), New Germany; Fred (Sheila), Simpsonville, SC; Timothy (Gloria), Wetaskewin, Alb., 14 beloved grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sister, Margery. Predeceased by husband Silas (1973); brother, Lester; sister, Helen. She leaves a lifetime of activity in the New Germany area, including Epworth United Church, Rebekah Lodge, UCW, New Horizons Seniors Club, New Germany and Area Medical Centre, South Rosedale School Board, Justice of Peace. A celebration of Ruth’s life will take place on May 8, at 11 a.m. at Epworth United Church, New Germany, reception to follow. Rev. Dale Gray officiating.
