Obituary of Marion Louise Veinotte

VEINOTTE, Marion Louise – It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and nannie fulfilled her wish by dying peacefully at home in West Northfield, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the age of 89 . Born in West Northfield, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Bruhm) Feener.

Marion was a life-long member of the West Northfield community having supported the efforts of so many activities, too numerous to mention. She was known as “nannie” and a friend to so many people, near and far. Marion had many accomplishments throughout her life, but her family was the greatest of them all. She was a life-long member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, having served with the guild and member of the parish ukulele group “String and a Prayer” as the percussionist. She loved her “special” card games with Cory, Ryan, Jason and George. Nannie loved life and lived it to the fullest enjoying and finding beauty in everything.

Surviving is her children, Nancy (Charles), Norma (Derek), Jane (Gary), Kevin (Susan); daughter-in-law, Peggy; grandchildren, Matthew (Leslie), Amy (Vlad), Cory, Ryan (Alison), Jason (Shannon), Jonathan (Abbey), Jamie (Adele), Tyler (Courtney), Neil (Victoria), Mark (Emily) and Luke (Jaime); great-grandchildren, Sonny, Alec, Dax, Victoria, Alexander, Henry, Anna, Evangeline, Mavis, Avery, Brooklyn; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ervin; son, Allen; brothers, Murray, Earl, Walter, Roderick;  several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield with Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses Lunenburg County branch; SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or a charity of choice. Special thanks to her doctors, nurses in the chemotherapy unit, VON nurses, palliative care and Amy, Laurie and Susan. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater where on-line condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
