Please accept our condolences. We are still in disbelief about the loss of Karen.
I personally have many great memories of your family with summers at Lake Mush-a-Mush. Whether it was a Mush—Mush burger for breakfast, Erin chasing squirrels all day, or Karen making snacks for us kids in the kitchen while Dad and Lloyd played crib at the table. Many of those memories seem like yesterday, yet so many years ago.
Remember all the good times with your Mom and know that many of us are grieving with you over the loss of such a wonderful person.

Our hearts are breaking over the loss of our beautiful friend, Karen. Lloyd and family, please accept our very sincere condolences. I met Karen on the first day of nurses' training at the Halifax Children's Hospital and, as you know, we were a tightly knit family and Karen was the glue that kept us together for all these years. Lloyd, Lori, Leslie and Becky I write this with my eyes filled with tears. My heart truly aches for all of you. I have many many wonderful family memories with you guys at the lake. Lori, Leslie and Becky - my heart is so broken for you, Lyra and Olivia, and my dearest Lloyd. The love that Karen had for others was radiant and the love she had for you all was so strong. She always spoke so highly of all of you. She was one of my favourite people in the world. Words are hard to express everything that Karen was to so many people. She took an interest in everyone she met and made everyone feel important.
She and Lloyd spent many hours visiting friends and folks who needed some sunshine in their lives. We will never forget the time they spent with Donnie and I last summer to encourage us. You are blessed with many wonderful memories of times together and my hope are that they these will carry you all through this most difficult and sad times. She was a blessing to all those who had the pleasure of making her acquaintance and had spent time with her.
My memories of the many visits that both Lloyd and Karen made to the Happy Cooker Restaurant on their way home from venture for their plate of fries to share and their coffee. I had many a wonderful conversation with you both and she imparted much wonderful knowledge to me over the years.
