Obituary of Barbara Marie Brown

Barbara Marie Brown 75, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on September 17, 2009 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater with family by her side. Born in Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late Tracy and Laura (Weagle) Dorey. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Edward Brown, infant siblings, Andrew and Rose Dorey; brothers, Merel, Donald and Willis Dorey; great grandchild, Taylor Leblanc Hubley. She is survived by her children, Esther (Peter) Beck, Hebbs Cross; Dorothy (Wendell), Wileville; Ann (Rodney) Zwicker, Springfield; Allen (Sarah) Brown, New Ross; Gregory (Christine) Brown, Waterloo; Sally (Kevin) Brown, Bridgewater; sisters, Mary (Alfie) Farmer, Bridgewater; Irene Dorey, Bridgewater; Pauline (Arnold) Miller, South Berwick. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Beck, Charamine (Danny) Himmelman, Billy-Joe (Michelle), Melissa (Tommy) Hubley, Adam (Jenn) Leblanc, Shelly (Chris) Whynot, Chris (Stacy) Hubley, Amanda (Billy) Hubley, Scott Zwicker, Dillan and Abigayle Brown, Catrina and Alyssa Brown, Melissa, Lilla and Gregory Brown; great grandchildren, Shauna Himmelman, Morgan Beck, Erica Himmelman, Alexa Bowman, Brittany Whynot, Damon Hubley and Robert and Larissa Goucher. Barbara was an avid watcher of her soap operas and had a great love for the game of bingo, which she shared with her youngest daughter, Sally. She had a great love and respect for her family and would do whatever she could to help them out, even if it meant giving the shirt off her back. She will be greatly missed by her family and her dog Princess otherwise known as FIDO by her. Visitation, 7-9 p.m., Sunday, in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and where funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Ron Appleton officiating.
