Lona Isabelle Burgoyne 77, Cherryfield, Lunenburg Co., passed away on June 1, 2009 at home. Born in Cherryfield, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Florence (Oickle) Whynot. Surviving are her husband, Donald Burgoyne; daughters, Linda (Arden) Sproule, Springfield; Christine (David) Whynot; Susan Daniels, Colleen Wamboldt, all of Meisners Section; Kimberley Burgoyne, Bridgewater; sons, Roland (Carolyn), Ross (Anne), all of Cherryfield; Leonard (Amanda Robar), Springfield; sisters, Eva Daniels, Beatrice Drew, Eleanor Robar all of North River; June Clooney, New Brunswick; brother, DeFoster Whynot, North River; 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 4 great - great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Brian; brothers, Medford, Bernard, Basil, Russell, Berlyn, Eugene; sisters, Rose, Shirley, Marjorie, Audrey; great grandson, Jeremy Lohnes; son in law, Arnold Daniels. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service 1 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Rev. Robert Gates officiating.
