Obituary of Ella Louise Slauenwhite
SLAUENWHITE, Ella Louise – Age 97, formerly of Stanburne, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, with her family by her side.
Born in Barss Corner on September 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Alma (Fancy) Oickle.
She was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. She was last surviving member of her immediate family.
Ella will be missed by her children, Beulah (Gilbert, deceased) Wagner, Bridgewater, Brian (Susan) Slauenwhite, West Northfield; grandchildren, Arden (Mary), Heather (Gerry), Lori (Mike), Donna (Shawn); great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Brandon, Michael, Aaron, Tyler, Hailey, Bohdi, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Pearlie; sisters, Mae (Burpee), Mabel (Lewis); brother, Maurice; and son-in-law, Gilbert.
Ella enjoyed camping, knitting, quilting, and gardening.
A memorial service for Ella will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., in Sweeny’s Funeral Home chapel, 4895 Hwy 10, New Germany. A public committal service will be held immediately following the memorial service in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, or a charity of choice. Arrangements are entrusted to C.F.
