Obituary of Rita Kathleen Christie

Rita Kathleen Christie 96, of Bridgewater, passed away December 27, 2009 in the Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Upper Northfield, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gertie (Lohnes) MacKay. She is survived by her stepson, Ralph (Jamella) Christie, Fredericton; several step grandchildren; cousin, John (Joanne) Lohnes, Bridgewater who cared for her the last five years. She was predeceased by her husband, John Arthur Christie; step children, Jean, John, Max and Robert. Funeral service will be held 10:30am Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Robert Zinck officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only and no visitation by request.
