Dear Tom and John, I am so sad to hear of Jack's passing. Your parents as you know were great friends of my own parents. My mum and dad loved and respected them both so much and of course became one of their first friends after we moved to NS in 1971. Lots of dinner parties and coffee gatherings were enjoyed with them and some of the other folks along the river. Jack was one of the few people I think that my dad could have deeper conversations with, it meant a lot to him. It was their solid, straight forward manner I think he appreciated. It is like the end of an era recognizing that they are gone now. My thoughts are with you. ~Mary Dixon
