Obituary of Colette Marie Mansfield

MANSFIELD, Colette Marie – it is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of our dear Colette on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in Pinehurst. Born March 7, 1966 in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Moore) Mansfield.

Colette began her career working as a seamstress at Suttles and Seawinds for several years. She decided to make a change in her career path and went on to become a Continuing Care Assistant. She was very devoted to her job and provided exceptional care to the residents at Mahone Nursing Home and Rosedale Home for Special Care. Throughout her time spent in this field, she formed a work family that meant everything to her.

Colette had a love for life and everyone she knew. It was always her priority to participate in any opportunity for a social time, whether it was as simple as meeting at Tim’s for a coffee or packing her bag for a last minute weekend getaway.

Most importantly was Colette’s love for her family. Her greatest passion was her adorable granddaughter, Addie. She loved her beyond measure and enjoyed every opportunity she had to spend time with her. She was the biggest advocate and supporter with unconditional love for her son Steven and partner Jerry. We could all depend on her to be there for us at anytime, whatever the reason may be. We cannot forget the so loved family dog, Tessa, who Colette cherished and spoiled rotten.

She leaves to mourn her life partner, Jerry Zwicker, New Germany; son, Steven and granddaughter, Adalynn “Addie” Zwicker, both of New Germany; sisters, Belinda (David) Zwicker, Simpsons Corner; Heidi Mansfield (David Silver), New Germany; brothers, Ernest “Ernie” (Debbie), New Germany; Rickey (Patty), Pinehurst; Quinn (Tari), Branch LaHave; nieces, Melissa, Catherine, Michelle, Alisa, Maggie, Chloe and Sophie; nephew, Kenneth “Kenny”; mother-in-Law, Audrey Zwicker; sister-in-law, Wendy (Peter); brothers-in-law, Bernie (Merilene) and Arthur “Joe”; niece, Tammy; nephews, Michael and Todd.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Wanda Mansfield and sister-in-law, Betty Zwicker.
