Obituary of Marion Eileen Croft

Marion Eileen Croft – 89 of Hebb’s Cross passed away at her home October 26, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Born March 7, 1933, she was a daughter of the late, Dawson and Mary Joudrey of Lake Centre, NS. She married George Murray Croft, her loving husband of 59 years on April 18, 1951. She was a devoted wife, mother of 2, grandmother of 2, and great grandmother of 3.

She is survived by daughter, Valerie Connick, Bridgewater; son, Donald Croft, Hebb’s Cross; sister, Ellen Meisner, Lake Centre; grandchildren, Stephen (Melissa) Connick, Matthew (Michelle Macrae) Connick, and great-grandchildren, Oliver, Elliot and Theodore Connick. She is predeceased by her husband George Murray Croft; sisters, Grace Corkum, May Joudrey; brothers, Robert, Douglas, Henry Joudrey.

Marion’s work career consisted of many jobs, some which included Indian Garden Restaurant in Dayspring, Lahave Manor and Michelin Tire. She was a strong supporter of her community as a lifetime volunteer member of the Hebb’s Cross Ladies Auxiliary and member of the Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Camperdown. Some of Marion’s passions included bird watching, love of animals, gardening, video games, crafts, cooking, and she always welcomed phone calls and visits from family and friends. She had a lust for life and never gave up hope no matter what challenges came her way, she was as strong as they come.  She is loved dearly and will be missed by family and all that knew her from far and near.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday November 5th at Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown with Pastor Willis Ott officiating. Following the service, a reception in memory of Marion will be held at Hebb's Cross Fire Hall from 2-4 PM.
