Obituary of Albert Ervin Cook

Albert "Sonny" Ervin Cook Of Italy Cross, passed away at South Shore Regional Hospital Sunday October 4, 2009. Born in Weymouth Digby Co., he was the son of the late Albert Doucette and Esther Shepard. He leaves behind his common law wife of 11 years, Phyllis Hatt; son Donald of Wileville and step-daughter, Janet; Sisters, Edith Skinner, Ontario, Joan Marshall, Ontario, Gail Melanson (Garnet), Weymouth, Shirley Melanson (Joe), Wileville. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean (Mosher); sister, Connie Smith; grandparents, Heber Cook, Grace Comeau “Nannie Cook”. Cremation has taken place under the direction of C.F. Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A public gathering for family and friends will be held Friday October 9 from 1pm to 2pm in the Wileville Fire Hall, 16 Wiles Lake Road. No flowers by request. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
