Obituary of Sheila Margaret Uhlman

UHLMAN, Sheila Margaret (Veinot) age 57, of North River, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2022.  Born in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Maynard and Gertrude Veinot.  Sheila had a close relationship with her daughter, Sheena whom she considered her best friend and enjoyed all the time they got to spend together.  Sheila is survived by her companion, Frank Oickle, daughter, Sheena; sisters, Sharon, Maryium, June and families; brothers, Ivan and Rex; grandson, Kayden.  She was predeceased by sons, Jeremiah and Devin; brother, Ralph; and nephew, Charlie.  Sheila was a wonderful mom, grandmother, and partner.  She cared and appreciated Frank more than can ever be imagined.  She was an independent and fiery woman who not only fought through cancer, but also fought for everything she loved.  Sheila had a heart of gold that was filled with love for everyone.  She enjoyed the company of her many friends, especially when playing bingo with her girlfriends.  She enjoyed the time spend with her self-proclaimed family, Candace, Greg, Liam and Emma, whom she loved very much.  Sheila had a beautiful soul and would go to no end to help everyone.  She had a full life full of work, being a champion in Arm Wrestling, and being a fulltime mom.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany.  By request, there will be no visitation at this time.  A private family memorial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.  Online condolences and donations may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com.
