To Rickey and family we offer our sincere sympathy on Garth's passing. Paul has known him for most of his life and often mentioned that when he started working with the Mersey, Garth and his son in law Emerson, were legends for the amount of wood they could cut in a day. He was hard working an a genuinely pleasant man. We will dearly miss him. Take comfort in the wonderful memories he made with each of you.

Our sincere condolences on Garth's passing. For a number of years John had the pleasure of being in Garth's company on many enjoyable hunting and fishing trips and they became good friends. He will certainly be missed but leaves behind many wonderful memories.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Garth at Hillside Pines. His little crooked smile could always light up a room. He was always happy for a game of solitaire, or to just sit and chat for awhile. My most sincere condolences to his family, he was a very special man❤️

Great Grampy Garth, you were truly one of the best. Your kind, so very gentle soul, was one of a kind. I will always remember you Great Grandpa. I always loved coming to visit you every time we came home from Alberta. By the time I was born both my grandfathers were gone so you were the only grandpa I ever knew. I loved your stories you told me about being a lumberjack with my grandpa and all your hunting and fishing stories. I admired you and your strength. I also appreciated all the fishing tips and worms you dug for me so I could fish back to the lake. I hope that I can be half the man that you were. There will never be another one to replace you and I will cherish all the memories I have of you.
