Obituary of Father Robert H. Coote

Father Robert Horton Coote 74, Mahone Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 5, 2009 at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Emily Eugenie (Page) Coote of Mahone Bay and the late Cyril Joseph Coote. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife June (Taylor); daughter Stephanie, Lunenburg; son Christopher, Middle Musquodoboit ; brother, Cyril Coote MacKay, England; nephews, Brian Coote; Paul Coote, Andrew MacKay; niece, Natalie Helm. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Cyril C. Coote. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday November 14, 2009 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Father Ron Appleton officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Parish Hall. Private family burial will take place in the Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay at a later date. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Feed Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice.
