Obituary of Dianne Elaine MacKay

MacKay, Dianne Elaine – Age 70, Camperdown, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater on May 25, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Muriel (Croft) Naugler formerly of Camperdown.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary Earl MacKay, Camperdown; daughter, Natasha Muriel MacKay, Camperdown; sister, Maxine(Harold) Mason, Springfield; brother, Gary Naugler (Sandra), Camperdown; nieces, Wendy (Wendell) Naugler, Camperdown; Stephanie (Ivan) Smicer, Camperdown; Judy (Nick) VonWahl, Greenfield; Gayle Hannam (Kevin), Crouses Settlement; nephew, Craig (Lori) Naugler, Camperdown; great  nieces and nephews, Madison, Megan, Shelby, Lukas, Nathan, Terry and Ashley; as well as a large extended family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved sister-in-law, Melda Naugler.

Dianne spent most of her working years as a Telephone Operator at MT&T and later retired to spend more time with her young daughter Natasha and her parents. At a young age, Dianne had a passion for horses, and owned several through out her life. She loved to travel and often went on family vacations near and far. In her down time, she enjoyed being at the lake with family, relaxing on her patio, watching the birds frolic in her gardens; baking homemade goods made with freshly picked berries, or just relaxing with a good book.

Arrangement entrusted with Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, where visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 5, in Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown, Rev. Willis Ott officiating.
