Obituary of Naomi Alma Anthony

 

Naomi Alma Anthony (nee Langille) - Age 91, formerly of Conquerall Bank, passed away peacefully at Ryan Hall, Bridgewater, on Friday, February 3, 2023. Born in Maders Cove on October 15, 1931 to the late Ernest and Alma (nee Smeltzer) Langille.

She is survived by her son, Gregory (Carol), Hebbville; son, Kirk (Debbie), LaBelle; daughter-in-law, Carol, Conquerall Bank; sisters-in-law, Honey Langille and Donna Langille; sisters, Cecilia Heckman, Lynn Hebb and Anne (Gary) Zwicker; grandchildren, Ryan Anthony (Jen McKean), Lori Cosman (Nick), Thane Anthony, Josh Anthony (Alicia), and Stephen Anthony; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nolan and Kayla Anthony, Hunter and Raina Cosman, Zach and Elijah Little, Hudson and Luke Anthony; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Naomi was predeceased by her husband, Carmon Crosby Anthony, her son Michael Anthony, and brothers, Gilbert Langille and Arthur Langille, and brothers-in-law Milton Hebb and Ray Heckman.

Naomi was very active in her community. She was a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Ladies Aid and choir member of the Conquerall Lutheran Church; was a member of the Conquerall Bank Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 55 years; was a 50 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary - Branch 24, Bridgewater; a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, in Newcombville and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgewater. She was also a member of Bridgewater Rifle Club and Wentzell Lake Rod & Gun Club. Naomi spent her married life with the love of her life dancing, camping, bowling, fishing and hunting at their camp in Bangs Falls, boating and snowmobiling at their cottage at Mush-a-Mush Lake. Most of all, Naomi loved her family… sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No visitation by request. Service and reception to be held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023 in St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 Phoenix Street, Bridgewater, Reverend Willis Ott, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maple Leaf Cemetery, Conquerall Bank, Conquerall Bank Fire Deptartment, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, All Saints Lutheran Church, Newcombville, or charity of your choice.

A special thank you to all the staff members at Ryan Hall for making Naomi a part of their family and for making her last ten days as comfortable as possible.
