Dearest Gus will be missed by all. His smile and his laugh were so contagious. It was my of my greatest joys to get him laughing. I will affectionately call him, Daad, always. I am so thankfully to have some of his masterful carpentry to remember him by as he rests in peace. Gussie, my son, I look forward to seeing you again.

I am so sorry to hear of Gus's passing. My daily walks will not be the same without his smile n wave when I went by. Sometimes I would meet him on his lawn Tractor going to Jerry's and we would have a chat

We are deeply sorry for your loss, we truly enjoyed our visits from Gus at our shop, his smile always lifted our spirits & his contagious laugh went through our hearts. You could see his is eyes light up when he was able to help others, a true kind spirited man, (as one would say a true Newfoundlander). Gus was one of the good humans!I never heard him say a negative word against anyone. He always had a smile and a good story to tell. GUS ALAWAYS HAD THE TIME TO CHAT TO WHOEVER HE KNEW. HE ALWAYS SEEM TO BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUNSTANCES WAS. HE WAS ALWAYS MADE ME LAUGH WHEN TIMES WERE ROUGH. I REMEMBER ONE DAY HE TOLD ME I'M GOING FISHING FOR SOME TROUT AND I MADE THE REMARK THAT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME I SURE COULD USE SOME AND THAT NEXT DAY HE GAVE ME A GOOD FEED OF THEM.
