Obituary of Mervyn Ellsworth Corkum

Mervyn Ellsworth Corkum 103, LaHave, Lunenburg County, passed away July 21, 2009 at the Veterans Unit of the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in West Dublin, he was the son of the late Walter and Sadie (Croft) Corkum. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He is survived by grandchildren, Cathy Bishop, Michael Cantelope, Paul Corkum and Ken Corkum. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred (Himmelman); daughter, Frances Cantelope; son, Ronald Corkum. A graveside service will be held 11am Friday in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Pentz, Rev David Phillips officiating. No flowers or visitation by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Unit of the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
