Obituary of John Allen Mailman

MAILMAN, John Allen - Age 59 of Italy Cross, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9th, 2023, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

John is predeceased by his wife, Sandra Mailman; and parents, Lewis and Erma (Stewart) Mailman.

Surviving are his sons, Dylan (Dominique), and Jeremy; daughter, Faith (Andrew); several grandchildren; sister, Donna Corkum (Jerome); niece, Nicole Corkum; and nephew, Thomas Corkum (Alisha).

John's working career included the Department of Highways, Hebbville, Bowaters Saw Mill, Oakhill, and Lahave Paving, Bridgewater. John was also a member of Italy Cross/Middlewood and District Fire Department throughout his life. He enjoyed working on vehicles and driving trucks; his most favorite was spending time with his family, and chatting and cracking jokes with his friends.

A public graveside Memorial Service will be held, 1 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Middlewood United Church Cemetery, Middlewood, with Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. No flowers by request. In leiu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore - ICU, to thank the staff for everything they've done for John during his 11-month stay.
