Foard Feindel

Obituary of Foard Charles Feindel

FEINDEL, Foard Charles - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dearest father, grandfather, friend, brother, Foard Charles Feindel, age 72 at home. Foard was the son of the late Robert and Leota (Fancy) Feindel formerly of New Germany.

Foard was an adventurer who thrived on seeking out adventures and hated sitting still for long periods of time. He had a passion for combing the beach, going out for drives, building birdhouses, riding his motorcycle, and hanging out with all his wonderful friends. He was also the biggest storyteller. He usually wouldn’t leave his friend’s or family’s house without having at least one story to tell (which left some to wonder if they were true or not). He had great humour and found it difficult to take anything serious. He would gladly help any friend or family that needed anything and would try to accommodate them to the best of his abilities. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He had a true love for all animals and especially cats. The past couple of years it was difficult for him to get around, so he enjoyed keeping up to date by looking at pictures of all the grandchildren each day through social media, and you could see how proud he was of each one of them.

Foard took a culinary course at the vocational school in Bridgewater thinking that’s what he wanted to do. It didn’t pan out, so he ended up working at National Sea (Highliner) in Lunenburg for most of his working years and enjoyed working nightshift for a lot of them.

Foard is survived by his sister, Ann (Ardie) Mailman; niece, Stephanie (Anthony) Crouse; his children, Melissa (Clay) Taylor, Andrew (Michelle) Feindel, Elizabeth Feindel, Charles (Leah Oakes) Feindel; grandchildren, Tyler (Shaina Jones) Feindel, William Taylor, Kayla Demone, Bre Demone, Ivy Oakes; great grandchildren; Colten Demone, Adam Demone, and Easton Feindel.

Special thank you to his very close friends and caregivers, Carolann and Shan Demone for taking such good care of him this past year and a half, and to all his friends; you truly were loved by him, and he valued your friendships deeply. The day that Foard passed away it thundered deeply, and we would like to think that was the sound of Foard on a Harley cruising through heaven on his way to see his loved ones.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life for Foard at a later date. Details to be announced when confirmed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Foard’s memory may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.
