Obituary of Paul Nathaniel Carver

CARVER, Paul Nathaniel - Age 90, formerly of Newburne, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where he had been residing. Born in Newburne, he was a son of the late Sidney and Idella (Beck) Carver, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was in the Royal Canadian Air Force until his retirement, where he then moved from Winnipeg to New Germany. After the death of his wife, he resided at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany until his death.

He is survived by his son, David and granddaughter, Julie of Quebec; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Kostan) Carver; sisters, Bernice Milbury, Helen Langille and Rita Meisner; brothers, John and James.

Cremation has taken place, with a public graveside service being held 2 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2023 in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Newburne, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Donations may be made to Rosedale Home for Special Care or charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany.
