Obituary of Sandra "Bonnie" Boneita DeMone

DEMONE (Misner), Sandra Boneita “Bonnie” – Of Bridgewater. It is with heartfelt and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Sandra (Bonnie) Boneita Demone, on September 5^th, 2023. She passed at the Victoria General Hospital, in Halifax, at the age of 61. Surrounded by her family and with her husband by her side, she courageously fought until the very end.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of 34 years, Jackie Demone; her son, Anthony (Amanda) Daniels; brothers, Gary (Belinda) Misner, Larry Misner, Shawnne (Anne) Misner; her sister, Jackie Misner; and her loving mother, Anna Misner. She will also be dearly missed by all her friends and the many people whose life she has touched. Bonnie was predeceased by her brother, Max Misner and her father, Richard Misner.

For all of those who knew Bonnie, they knew that her love of her family and friends was always her top priority, no matter what she may have had going on with herself. Her love of the outdoors included camping, campfires, and most of all, spending days fishing with her husband. Her beloved cats Maggie and Cali were always by her side. In her spare time, she was always thinking of others; whether it was making them a delicious meal, making flower arrangements for her family and friends that she had lost, or just being there to talk on the phone for hours. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, going to the beach, long drives looking for deer, shopping with her daughter-in-law, and collecting Guardian Angels, which is only fitting now that she has her own wings.

A public reception in celebration of the life of Bonnie will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 2:30 P.M., in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York St., Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter. The family would like to send a special and sincere thank you to all the doctors and nurses of the South Shore Regional Hospital, in Bridgewater, and Unit 8A of the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. A very special thank you to Eleanor, Lauren, Hayley, Kayla, Jenna, and Jeff who were always by her side, making her laugh and smile, we truly appreciate you.
