Obituary of Robert Daniel MacKinnon

MACKINNON, Robert Daniel - Age 84, of Bridgewater, formerly of Upper Branch, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, in Ryan Hall, Bridgewater, where he had been residing. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he was a son of the late James Daniel and Loretta Evelyn (LaFramboise) MacKinnon.

Robert was a carpenter by trade. He was a long-time member of Acacia Lodge #39, AF & AM, Bridgewater where he served in many offices including Master.

Surviving are his children: son, Robert Paul (Jacqueline Rafuse), Camperdown; daughters, Donna (Stephen) Roy, Wentzell Lake; Dawn (Troy) Wentzell, Midville Branch; Sharron Kingston, Ontario; sister, Margaret (Ray) Jamison, and Rose Junkert (Charlie), all of Pugwash; Diane Reid, Orillia, Ont.; sister in-law and brother in-law, Susan (Martin) Bean, England; grandchildren, Travis Wentzell (Elisabeth), Devyn Wentzell (Brittany), Stephen (Samantha), Jason (Amber) Roy; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Ann (Ashman) MacKinnon; sisters, Mary Ellen Brownridge, Loretta D'Angelo and brother, Ronald MacKinnon.

By request, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. No flowers please, donations may be made to Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater, or charity of choice.
