Obituary of Maureen Isabell Wamboldt

WAMBOLDT, Maureen Isabell – Age 63, Conquerall Bank, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in the Q.E. II Health Sciences Centre - Victoria General Hospital Site, Halifax, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Ronald Bamfred and Frances Ruby (Keating) Fraser.

Maureen was a member of the Conquerall Bank Fire Department where she began working with the Ladies Auxiliary; later she became involved as a radio operator and more recently assisted and worked on the Rehab Unit. She was a past employee of the former Zellers, Bridgewater and then continued her customer service representative role for another 15 years with Walmart, Cookville. Maureen enjoyed cross-stitching where she won several awards for her work. Maureen loved to watch baseball and was an avid fan of the Blue Jays. Maureen will be sadly missed by her cat, Callie.

Surviving are her daughters, Christa Wamboldt (Rob Seibel), Hammonds Plains; Amanda Wamboldt (Matthew Crowell), Conquerall Bank; sisters, Margo Fraser and Tanis Fraser, both of Conquerall Bank; brother, Harold Fraser, Hebbville.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, Ronald and Frances.

A private graveside service will be held in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Conquerall Bank. A public Celebration of Life will begin at 12 noon on Thursday, October 12, 2023 in the Conquerall Bank Fire Hall, 2228 Conquerall Road, Conquerall Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SHAID Animal Shelter or the Conquerall Bank Fire Department.
