Obituary of Eric Barnett Russell

RUSSELL, Eric Barnett - Age 78 of North River, Lunenburg Co., recently of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully after fighting a long, hard battle of many health issues, with his daughter Norma by his side at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater, on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Originating from Cherryfield, Lunenburg Co., Eric was the son of the late James and Goldie (Robar) Russell.

Eric worked many years for Bowater and owned his own chainsaw shop in North River at his home, before retiring to do what he loved most – hunting, fishing and being in the woods.

Eric is survived by his loving wife, Janet Adelia Russell of Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg; his four children, Patricia (Joe) Barry, Simpsons Corner; Norma (Jason) Doyle East Dalhousie; Steven Russell, Wileville; Denice Russell, Bridgewater; and his three grandchildren, Angie, Katie and Derrick; two great-grandchildren, Eric and Morgan; sister Avis (Glen) Dorey, Martins Point and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Eric was predeceased by his brothers, Delbert Russell and Allister Russell.

Eric was a strong man who fought until the very end. May you rest in peace now Dad, no more pain.
