Obituary of Sharon Louise Varner

 

VARNER, Sharon Louise - passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75 on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at home in Upper Northfield.

Born in Upper Northfield, she was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Arabel (Fancey); brothers, Donald (Ruby) Faulkenham, Lawrence Fancey, and sister, Helen Hoage.

Loving wife to Roscoe for 54 years and loving and proud mother to Scott (Ronda) Varner, and Tanya Varner; devoted Nannie to Emily Varner, William and Emma Ramer, and Chloe Tanner. She was the glue that held our family together and she will be missed.

Sharon enjoyed her family above all, she also enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds, valley trips for Chinese food, and a good homemade ice cream. In her early life she worked for the Royal Bank of Canada and as a telephone operator. She was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield.

The family wishes to thank EMS, and Dr. Weagle for their care.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 23 at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield with Rev. Brooklynn Lane officiating. Interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.
