Obituary of Wayne Lawrence Penney
Penney, Wayne Lawrence – age 73 of Upper Branch, passed away March 21 in South Shore Regional Hospital Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater on March 26, 1950, he was a son of the late Lawerence and Emma (Richardson) Penney. Wayne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene; daughter, Christa (Greg) Larkin, Dartmouth; sons; Robbie (Jeannie) Knickle, Cornwall; Tommy (Tammy) Knickle, Liverpool; sister, Janet Gaudaur, Ontario; grandchildren, Codie (Alicia) Penney, Halifax; Christopher (Tiffany ) Penney, New Germany; Robin (Rob) Knickle, Truro; Kasey (Corey Lynn) Knickle, Chester; Ben Knickle, Liverpool; Nadia Knickle, Liverpool; great grandchildren, Gregory Penney, Halifax and Gavin Polson, New Germany; several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He played broomball in his younger years, a sport he enjoyed for 30 years. Wayne liked watching the Toronto Maple Leafs play hockey and he had a passion for animals, particularly farm animals. After he retired, Wayne continued working with Philip and Vicky Conrad at PV Forestry.
