Obituary of Roland James Acker

Roland James Acker, of Springfield, passed away July 15^th, 2024 at his home in East Dalhousie. Born April 5^th,1951 in Springfield, NS to his parents Obie Acker and Marian (Crouse) Acker.  Roland worked for many years as a logger and later for the Department of Transportation - road crew.

Roland was always someone you could count on to help anyone in the community whether he was fixing cars for friends, cutting firewood or plowing driveways. He was a member of the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department for most of his life.  He was kind, generous, full of humor, and greatly loved by all.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Jodrey) Acker; sons, Troy (Jodie), and Adam; grandchildren, Nathanial, Logan (Alyse), Paige, and Maddox.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany.  As per his request there will be no funeral service.  Linda continues to welcome visitors at the house if you are in the area.
