Obituary of Michaela Rosaline Whynot

WHYNOT, Michaela Rosaline – Age 28, went to heaven to the arms of her father, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, after a tragic motor vehicle accident in Martins River, Lunenburg County. Her family is completely devastated. Michaela was the fiancé of Benjamin O’Donnell and the daughter of Janet (Brake) Whynot, Camperdown and the late Andrew Whynot.

Michaela could light up a room as soon as she entered, always had a smile and loved everyone with kindness.

Michaela graduated from Parkview Education Centre, Bridgewater in 2014 and went on to study nursing at UNB, Fredericton, New Brunswick, graduating in 2019. She loved her nursing career with the V.O.N., Lunenburg County branch. All her patients were special to her, and she always did her best to comfort them.

During her studies at UNB, she met the love of her life, Ben. They were soulmates who loved each other more than anything. Ben’s family loved her as their own daughter.

In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, Sunday suppers with her grandparents, weekly TV shows and supper with her brother, Zachary. Zach and Michaela were such a close brother and sister and best friends, who loved being together. Michaela also loved spending time with Ben watching their favourite shows, especially The Leafs during hockey season. She enjoyed time with Ben’s family, especially on game nights, they loved her like their own. She also loved hanging out with her friends. Her life-long friends, Melanie and Meghan were a constant in her life. She loved to shop or have lunch with her Mom and baking with her grandmother, and daily walks with her fur baby, Willow.

She is going to be missed more than words can say. There will be a big hole in the Whynot and O’Donnell families, that will never be filled.

Michaela leaves to mourn, her fiancé, Ben O’Donnell, Conquerall Mills; mother, Janet Whynot, Camperdown; brother, Zachary, Camperdown; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Linda Whynot, Hebbs Cross; uncle, James Brake (John), Port Moody, BC; Ben’s parents, Jody and Tracy O’Donnell, Conquerall Mills; Ben’s brother, Jon O’Donnell, Halifax; many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Andrew Gerald Whynot; maternal grandparents, John and Judith Brake.

No visitation at the funeral home by request. A public graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2024, in the Whynot Family Cemetery, Danesville with Pastor Dana Pardy officiating.
