Obituary of Brenda Joyce Rendell

RENDELL, Brenda Joyce – Age 77 of Bridgewater, passed away on August 11, 2024, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Brenda was born on October 29^th, 1946, in Williamson, West Virginia, USA, to parents William and Claudelene Maynard.

Brenda was the wife of Gordon W. Rendell of Bridgewater, NS, whom she married in Happy Valley, NL, on December 9^th, 1989. After getting married, Brenda and Gordon moved to Chester, NS, in 1995 where they lived for many years. In 2012, Brenda and Gordon moved to Bridgewater where they have lived together happily since.

Brenda leaves to mourn, her beloved husband – who was by her side to the end, and who loved her very much; children, Ricky (Crystal) Newton, Holbrook, AZ , and Wayne Miller, Summerville, SC; step-children, Heidi (Michael) Gillespie, Dutch Settlement, NS, and Gordon E. Rendell, Happy Valley, NL; grandchildren, Nicole Newton, Savannah (Kinser) Murphy, Blade Newton, Mason (Bri) Miller, Max Miller, Zoe Miller, Lovena Livingston, Sydney-Lynn Goudie, Conlan Rendell, and Ethan Gillespie; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Tammy Baldwin; and brother, David Maynard.  Brenda was predeceased by her parents, William and Claudelene; brother, Larry Maynard; sister-in-law, Maureen Maynard; and granddaughter Aleyssa Long.

A service to remember Brenda’s wonderful life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
