Obituary of Phillip Hilton Ralph Lacey

LACEY, Phillip Hilton Ralph - Age 81 of Lunenburg County, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 surrounded by family in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Berwick, Kings County, he was the son of the late Hilton and Verna (Hiltz) Lacey. He married his wife of 62 years, Katherine Maloney and they raised their family in Lunenburg County.

Phillip worked as a heavy equipment operator and later, a second and first engineer on board a scallop dragger. He had a good sense of humor, enjoyed music, and spending time with family and friends, as well as spending time at his cabin.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Katherine Lacey; sister, Paulette (Ronald) Mahar; daughters, Judy Tanner, Tina Lacey-Huskins; sons, Brian Lacey, Greg Lacey, Corey Lacey; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2024 in Morristown Cemetery, Morristown, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phillip's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
