Obituary of Miriam Janet Rhodenizer
RHODENIZER, Miriam Janet – Age 80, of Parkdale, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing.
Miriam, born in Maplewood, was the daughter of the late Maynard William and Gertrude Miriam (Webber) Veinot and was a devoted homemaker, mother and wife. She was passionate about her faith and loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, crafting and knitting, and baking treats for her husband. There was always a cookie in her tin for anyone who wanted one. Miriam will be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends and greatly missed by all.
Miriam is survived by her husband of 63 years, Silas Merle Rhodenizer; daughters, Karen (Peter) Smith, Union Square; Tamara (Glenn) Mason, Spectacle Lake; grandchildren, Thomas Smith, Amber Ault, Jennie Sarty, Jay Mason, John Mason, April Cook, Autum Mason; great-grandchildren, Sophie Ault, Graham Sarty, Nora Sarty, Brooklynn Mason, Ross Mason and Eden Mason; sisters, Sharon (Wade) Veinot, Cornwall; June Rhodenizer, Barss Corner; sister-in-law, Louise Veinot, Upper Northfield; brothers, Ivan (Sharon) Veinot, Barss Corner; Rex (Bonnie) Veinot, Maplewood; her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son, Joseph “Joey” Rhodenizer; sisters, Sheila Uhlman, Faye Veinot; brothers, Ralph Veinot; granddaughter, Hannah Smith.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Service of Remembrance will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2024, in Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood. Rev. Paul Hatfield officiating. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood, Parkdale-Maplewood Community Cemetery, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
