Dear Jacques and Family,
Marie and I have been friends since we were in Grade 7 at New Germany Rural High School. She spent time at our house when we were growing up and we made wonderful memories together. My heart is so sad for all of you! I am glad her suffering has come to an end, but one is never really ready to say that last "Good Bye". This will be a very different Christmas for your Family this year. It's one of those life experiences that you can't avoid, you just have to work your way through it. Hopefully God will send special people into your life this Christmas to help you navigate your way through the memories and moments of grief that will undoubtedly be part of your Christmas. Please know that I will be thinking of you, praying for you and hoping that you will have times of peace and joy that will help to sooth your hearts. May God grant to each one of you whatever your hearts need most as you learn to live your lives without Marie.
