Obituary of Doris Edith Woodworth

WOODWORTH, Doris Edith – Age 85, Simpsons Corner, Lunenburg Co., died peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in North Kingston, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Frederick Lawrence and Bernice (Ward) Irvin.

Doris was a full-time homemaker, looking after her husband and children, and where she enjoyed preparing meals and baking for family, friends and anyone who dropped by for a visit. She was also a seamstress and crafter as a past time, enjoying many hours while creating her finished products.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Irving Edward Woodworth; sons, Edward Woodworth; Michael (Kathleen) Woodworth; Darrin (Susan) Woodworth and Troy Woodworth. Her grandchildren, Jonathan Woodworth and Hanna Woodworth; and great-grandchildren, Salara and Leander.

Respectful of Doris’ wishes, there will be no service held. A private burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner. No flowers please, donations may be made to the Hillside Cemetery Fund or Simpsons Corner Community Hall.
