Obituary of Juanita Belle Mailman

Juanita Belle Mailman 87 of Branch LaHave, Lunenburg County passed away August 1, 2009 at North Queen’s Nursing Home, Caledonia following a lengthy illness. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Dorothy (Burgoyne) Acker. She is survived by 8 of her 9 children, daughters Judy (Milton), Midville Branch; Linda (George), Toronto; Flora (Francis), Halifax; Wanda, Chester; Kathy (Gary), Lunenburg; sons Vernon (Betty), Kingston; Jim (Diane), Branch LaHave; Larry, Toronto; 16 of her 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters Marie Williams, England; Kathleen Barteaux, Torbrook and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Milton; daughter Wilma Lee; grandson Robert; brothers Calvin and Everett. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 8, 2009 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. Steven Hiltz officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave. No flowers by request and donations in Juanita’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s society or a charity of choice.
